ISI / BIS Certification for Shoe covers

Shoe covers have been included in the mandatory ISI Certification Scheme under IS 17349: 2020. This product cannot be exported/imported or sold in the Indian consumer market without ISI Mark imprinted.

• This standard specifies the requirements for shoe covers (disposable and reusable) intended to be used for medical purposes during various procedures to protect patients/materials from the transfer of microorganisms, particulates, contaminants, etc.
• This standard does not cover the requirement of legging/boot legging used in the operation theatre.
