Mandatory BIS-ISI Certification for Military/Para-Military Derby Shoes, Excluding Civilian Use

The Bureau of Indian Standards has issued a revised notification regarding the mandatory BIS/ISI certification for derby shoes. According to the updated notification, derby shoes are now required to undergo BIS/ISI certification if they are supplied to or intended for use by the military or para-military forces, excluding civilian use. This implies that all derby shoes provided to entities such as the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, and other military or para-military forces must adhere to BIS/ISI certification standards.
