Extension Order for Automobile Wheel Rim Component

The Ministry of Heavy Industries has issued the Automobile Wheel Rim Component (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2023, extending the compliance enforcement date for Automobile Wheel Rim Component to December 22, 2023. This amendment requires all manufacturers of these components to strictly adhere to the relevant Indian Standards, ensuring quality and safety. As part of this enforcement, products must prominently display the ISI Mark, indicating compliance. Manufacturers are required to obtain a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards under Scheme-I of Schedule-II, in accordance with the BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018. Failure to comply with these regulations will result in penalties as specified in the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016.
