In simple terms, the government has updated the regulation and continued the requirement for standard quality screws in the Indian market.
Cross recessed screws are widely used in construction, electrical fittings, appliances, automobiles, furniture, as well as in a variety of industrial equipment. Since they are critical fastening components, poor quality can lead to safety risks and product failures.
In order to prevent this, the government has made BIS certification mandatory under this new QCO.
