Extension Order for Geo Textiles

The Ministry of Textiles has issued an extension order regarding the Geo Textiles (Quality Control) Order, 2022, as per the Gazette Notification dated 10th April 2023 and the subsequent Amendment Order dated 24th May 2023. This Quality Control Order, which mandates that geo textile products adhere to the specified standards under Scheme-1 of Schedule-II of the BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018, will now come into force on 1st January 2024. The adherence to these standards is crucial for maintaining the quality and integrity of geo textile products within the industry. Any violations of the provisions outlined in this Order will be punishable under the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016, ensuring stringent compliance and upholding product standards.
