Quality Control Amendment Order 2023 for Polyester Industrial Yarn

The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has issued the Polyester Industrial Yarn (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2023. This order mandates that Polyester Industrial Yarn must comply with the relevant Indian Standard and bear the ISI mark under a license from the Bureau of Indian Standards, in accordance with Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the BIS (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018. The production, trading, stocking, or importing of Polyester Industrial Yarn is prohibited unless it bears the ISI Mark. The effective date for the implementation of this order is July 3, 2023. Non-compliance with the provisions of this order will result in penalties as stipulated under the relevant Act. This regulatory measure aims to ensure the quality and standardization of Polyester Industrial Yarn in the market, promoting consumer safety and industry reliability.
