This update mainly aims to ease compliance for manufacturers as well as licensees by allowing the use of test reports issued by STQC-empanelled laboratories, even if those reports were generated prior to the formal recognition of the laboratories by BIS.

1. BIS has recognized/empanelled 14 laboratories under STQC for testing related to the Essential Requirements for Security of CCTV.
2. Licensees can submit test reports issued by these recognized labs, even if:

4. STQC laboratories are advised to:
   1. Attach the existing test reports along with the LIMS-generated reports
   2. Submit them without conducting fresh testing
5. These reports can be directly used by applicants to:
   1. Apply for the implementation of ER for the Security of CCTV
